Author's Notes: A few months ago I wrote al little vignette about Giles being lonely at Christmas ("Love From Home"). I got so many requests to continue, that it grew. That ficlet is now revived here as the Prologue. I've probably taken some liberties with the timeline, and it is rather AU regarding slayer mythology. Very little angst. No violence worthy of the name.
