Information and Disclaimers

And I Blame You
Rating: G
Summary: Giles has set mechanisms for dealing with grief and loss. They aren't working this time.
Thanks: My deepest gratitude goes out to Athenae, for agreeing to beta this. Her advice was invaluable and made this a much better fic.
Author's Notes: The title comes from a line in the song "Behind Blue Eyes," but this is not a songfic.

Anniversary
Rating: PG-13, for off-screen nookie and a little swearing
Pairing: Buffy/Giles
Summary: Giles needs time to think before he goes to church.
Thanks:Thanks to Luisa who checked it for any creeping Americanisms.
Author's Notes: This is dedicated to my husband, Christopher. We are coming up on an anniversary of sorts, and it's put me in a rather reflective mood. I hope that no one minds if I pass this mood along to my favorite Watcher. This fic is also not entirely angst-free. You might want to give this one a miss if you really can't handle that.

Consequences of Incompetency
Rating: PG
Pairing: Giles/Owen
Summary: Thanks to Andrew, Giles is stuck with an old acquaintance. Thanks, Andrew!
Author's Notes: Written for Doyle's Buffyverse 1000 Project. Isis requested the pairing.

Cruel and Unusual
Rating: PG for violence against musical taste
Pairing: None
Summary: Anya's past comes back to haunt Giles
Author's Notes: This comes to you courtesy of Gileswench’s Mini-Challenge #10: Music. It has been revised and had the ending altered since I originally posted it on the GRB list.

Don't Trust In Chariots
Rating: PG
Pairing: Giles/Xander pre-relationship
Summary: Giles is there when Xander needs him.
Author's Notes: Musesfool set out a call for fics inspired by specific Psalms. I was assigned Psalm 20 (following the fic), which is basically a plea for help. I was stumped by this assignment until I signed up for Soft_princess’s G/X drabble challenge. I took the word “steel,” and suddenly it all came together for me. This 500 word drabble is meant to answer both challenges.

Five Things That Never Happened to Rupert Giles
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Giles/Ethan; Giles/Jenny; Giles/Joyce
Spoilers: "The Dark Age," "Prophecy Girl," "Becoming, part II," "Band Candy," and "The Freshman"
Summary: Like the title says. Five drabbles, each of events that never occurred in Giles' life.
Author's Notes: This is an answer to a challenge that I have seen floating around, to list five things that never happened to a character.

The Gift
Rating: G
Pairing: Giles/Jonathan
Spoilers: Superstar

Insupportable Deductions
Rating: PG
Pairing: Giles/Maggie Walsh
Summary: Giles refreshes Professor Walsh’s memory as to the various steps in the scientific method.
Author's Notes: This was written for Doyle’s 1,000 Buffyverse Pairings Project. Flurblewig requested Giles/Maggie, and who was I to say no?

Just Another Slayer
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Giles/Buffy
Summary: In a post-“Chosen” world, there are lots of Slayers but just One Watcher in All the World. Buffy wants to make sure she stands out from the crowd.
Author's Notes: This was written for the Allthejellies B/G Angstathon. Girlfromsouth requested a smutty story with a hopeful ending. Still, please note the "angst" part of the ficathon title..
Thanks: A huge debt of gratitude goes out to Taryn. She came back from her vacation in just the nick of time, to save my butt with the ending I needed. THANK YOU!!!

Junkies
Rating: PG
Spoilers: Season seven of BtVS and Dawn's Diary from VLC's Virtual Season Eight. This story is set sometime between August 5th (their arrival in Whispering Pines) and September 5th (the arrival of Anya's will).
Summary: Buffy tries to help Giles with his addiction. (Don't worry though.)
Author's Notes: This is an answer to a challenge that I have seen floating around, to list five things that never happened to a character.

Love On The Rocks
Rating: PG-13 for adult themes and British profanity. Warning: Character death and a successful apocalypse. Flames: Bring `em on, baby.
Pairing: Giles/Penguin
Spoilers: "Entropy," "Two to Go," and "Grave." Yes, I know that they aired only three weeks apart, but I'm going to pretend that at least two months passed between them. Surely you can suspend disbelief *that* far, can't you? The rest will make perfect sense. I *promise!* (snicker)
Summary: Buffy makes a wish, Giles finds true love, and the world comes to a fiery end. Thank-you, Anya!
Disclaimer: Neil Diamond wrote the tune and lyrics to "Love on the Rocks", and he owns all rights to it. Mutant Enemy owns Giles, Buffy, and the rest of the Scooby gang. The idea for Giles' tragic propensity towards penguin lust came from Gileswench's excellent story, "A Word with You All," and I don't own that either. Lulubelle and Bluto are mine, however, and I am fiercely possessive of them.
Author's Notes: Thanks to Gileswench, for permitting me to borrow her throwaway joke, and to TweedEmpress for her invaluable help with London geography and British expressions. This story is dedicated to Taryn who knows that I shouldn't be allowed near a word processor without adult supervision, and yet convinced me to release this upon an unsuspecting public anyway. If you feel the need to, erm, *thank* anyone, it really should be her...%^)

Nothing is Easy
Rating: PG
Pairing: Giles/Oz
Summary:Oz arrived in February and left in May. He thought it was more than an interlude, but maybe he was wrong.
Author's Notes: This was written for the Giles/Oz ficathon. Dolores wanted snow and a mention of Joyce. It is set in the same universe as "Year's End", but the two are entirely independent of each other.

Orchestrated Orgies
Rating: Hard R
Pairing: Giles/Dierdre/Randall/Ethan/Phillip/Thomas
Summary: Giles wants to liven things up. He looks in the wrong place, however.
Author's Notes: This was written for Doyle’s 1000 Buffyverse Project. No one requested this puppy, but I simply couldn’t resist a canonical sixway…

Physical Reaction
Rating: Hard R
Pairing: Giles/Ben
Summary:Double Drabble. Giles wishes he was more skilled at lying to himself.

Pushover
Rating: PG
Summary: Gen. Timeline: the summer between seasons four and five. Even the staunchest of Watchers have weak spots.
Author's notes: This was written for Lost Girl’s Drunken Giles ficathon. Loneraven wanted happy Scoobies and Giles singing, with no silliness or romance. I hope you find this a nice welcome home gift when you return from India.

The Records To Prove It
Rating: PG
Pairing: Giles/Ozish
Spoilers: Revelations
Summary: Willow sends Oz to check on Giles. They bond.
Author's Notes: This was written for the Giles/Oz ficathon. Trekker wanted an angst-flavored friendship fic, set in the second or third season.
Thanks: Many, many thanks to Taryn for her inspired suggestion to keep this story from going flat.

Regrets
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Buffy/Giles
Spoilers: Through season 5
Summary: Ethan shows his old mate what his life could have been.
Thanks: My sincere thanks to Kristin, for agreeing to look this over for me.

Responsibilities and Repercussions
Part One of the Back From Hell series
Read: 1, 2
Rating: PG
Spoilers: "Anne" Begins _in medias res_
Summary: What if Buffy didn't leave hell at the end of "Anne"?
Author's notes: This is the first part of a series, one that should eventually encompass the first half of season three. (Assuming my work ethic can live up to my ambition.) It goes AU halfway through this fic, and will remain so for the rest of the series. I know this is remarkably similar to Tara's wonderful fic, "All Shall Be Well." This is simply a case of demented minds working alike, as both of us came up with this plot independently and at roughly the same time. There was absolutely no collaboration or plagiarizing upon either of our parts.
Thanks: a big, big thanks to Morrwen for the beta. I'm deeply grateful; I would never have the courage to start a series without the promise of a critical eye to keep me focused.
Dedication: This one is for Taryn, who didn't think this idea was as strange as I feared and strongly urged me to write it out. I know I am four months late for your birthday, but the fic I was going to write for you didn't work out. Here ya go...

Spatula Raisin
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Giles/Anya, Xander/Anya, and Giles/Buffy eventually. My muse hates me.
Spoilers: "Tabula Rasa." Spike didn't come to the Magic Box, vampires never attacked, and Willow's crystal was never broken.
Summary: The Scoobies live the lives of strangers for a few days. Can they put their lives back together when they regain their memories?
Thanks: Many, MANY thanks to Morrwen for the beta!

To Hell and Back
Part Two of the Back From Hell series
Read: 1, 2.
Rating: PG

Waiting
Rating: G
Spoilers: Through season three
Summary: It's a difficult thing, loving your Slayer... (a nice little fatherly tale)

Disclaimer: Joss is a genius, and he deserves to own it all.  I am a worm, and deserve only the enjoyment I derive from playing with his wonderful creations.  He gets the money, but I think I get the better part of the deal.
