Rating: PG-13
Spoilers: “Normal Again,” for Buffy, and “Double or Nothing” for Angel. Goes significantly AU after these two episodes.
Summary: After nearly killing her loved ones, Buffy realizes that she needs a Watcher… even if it’s not Giles. After having his throat slit, Wesley realizes that he needs to keep fighting the good fight… even if it’s not with Angel. Each decides to use the other.
Author's Notes: this was written for the BtVS/AtS het ficathon. SA asked for a Buffy/Wesley fic with poetry and a pissy Jew, but no alcohol. Thanks to Taryn for looking this over for me, and preventing me from deleting it all in a poetry-induced panic attack.
